Minaret of the Mosque
The minaret of the Bait‑un‑Nasr Mosque is an architectural symbol of Islamic culture and spirituality. It serves as a visible sign of the mosque’s presence and a reminder of the community’s spiritual orientation.
The Bait‑un‑Nasr (“House of the Helper”) Mosque in Cologne was opened in 1985 as part of the historic 100‑Mosque project of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat in Germany. A special highlight is its minaret, which was inaugurated on 12 June 2011 by His Holiness Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad, Khalifatul Masih V. Today the mosque stands for prayer and spirituality as well as peace, dialogue, and integration in society.
Your Visit
The mosque* is a place for all who wish to enter and devote themselves to their Lord. In the most humble posture, with the forehead touching the ground, Muslims pray to draw closer to God and seek His pleasure. The Holy Qur’an describes the remembrance of God as the key to inner peace:
أَلَا بِذِكْرِ اللَّهِ تَطْمَئِنُّ الْقُلُوبُ
“Verily, in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find comfort.”
